And, as part of our $110 million expansion project, Kendall Regional Medical Center recently opened a four-story building complete with emergency, operating, open-heart and ICU patient rooms.
We are currently seeking a full-time Operating Room Director to assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for nursing care of patients in the Operating Room and CSR. The Director will provide leadership and support to the units' nurse manager using creative leadership to ensure best outcomes in high quality compassionate patient care. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to, adopting creative and futuristic planning for health care delivery, developing policies and procedures to ensure the provision on one level of care or services for all patients, participating in planning departmental construction and remodeling as appropriate and leading cost efficient and effective operations.

Requirements |

Qualified candidates will possess:
• Florida Registered Nurse License • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification • Operating Room Nurse Certification • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Master’s Degree preferred • Minimum of three to five years recent experience in acute care/management, responsible for one or more units • Knowledge and skill of professional nursing theory and practice, leadership in administration, principles of effective teaching and learning, fiscal management, and effective interpersonal relationships and communication • Knowledge, understanding, acceptance, and support of the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the nursing service and the institution as a whole • Excellent verbal, organizational and communication skills
