Job Description
AORN Works is seeking a full time permanent Clinical Director Operating Room.

Large East coast facility, Level 1 trauma center, 900+ patient beds, 23 OR Suites, 11,000 cases/year. Transplants, Robotics, Bariatrics, Cardiovascular. Responsible for 200+ FTE's, 6 surgical service managers. Must be an experienced leader who has the ability to produce and make changes. Reports to the Senior Director Perioperative Services.

Provides administrative and financial accountability for planning, directing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions and activities of the MOR Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments. Manages the overall nursing operations of the intraoperative MOR Operating Room, service lines, and in accordance with Hospital administered policies, standards of nursing practices, and governmental regulations, providing excellent care for all perioperative patients. Implements standards and administers clinical practice, evaluates clinical outcomes, and maintains patients’ clinical records.

Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION Knowledge of nursing theory, and practice and administration in order to supervise the planning and implementation of care, which would normally be acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Master’s degree in nursing, health administration, or business administration preferred. Equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered. Knowledge of JCAHO guidelines and state/federal regulations and standards required. PRIOR EXPERIENCE Approximately seven years OR experience with progressive OR management experience
