AORN Works is seeking a full time permanent Director Surgical Services for a full service, acute-care community hospital in Colorado.
This facility is licensed for 196 patient beds, 7 OR Suites, performs 300 cases/month. Position reports directly to the CNO. Responsible for 70 FTE's.
The Director Surgical Services will provide leadership and accountability in the daily operations of the Perioperative departments. This includes developing and maintaining physician relations, empowering clinical care givers through solicitation of input and implementation of actions to improve delivery of patient care. Responsible for planning, organizing, direction and evaluating the provision of services in the department. Responsible for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service. Assures achievement of department goals and takes an active role in achievement of hospital goals as they relate to the operations department. Additionally, will be available to support the clinical needs of the department by providing staffing support as volume and acuity demand.
