\n Advanced Cardiovascular Nurse - Nursing Magnet in Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission, Viejo, CA. This is a full-time, day shift position. \n

\n Advanced Cardiovascular Nurse is a clinical leader with advanced skills and knowledge in designated clinical areas. Functions independently as role model, clinician, educator, patient/family advocate, consultant, leader, and researcher. Plans and provides formal and informal education programs necessary to improve professional and technical competence of nursing staff to improve the quality and the delivery of care. Is accountable for the clinical, quality, and financial outcomes for a defined patient population. Initiates and facilitates multidisciplinary care teams in review, analysis, and change in clinical practice.\n

\n National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire\n

\n Certification from national professional specialty organization within 3 years of hire.\n

\n 3 years of Clinical experience in area(s) of specialization.\n

Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered RN Washington state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
- One year of work experience as Orthopedic Spine Telemetry Registered Nurse
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
