The hospital facility is home to the Knapp Cardiac Care Center—an advanced heart disease diagnostic and treatment facility—as well as a modern ambulatory surgical pavilion with specialized services including women’s imaging, a sleep laboratory, and bariatric surgery. Our Provisional Level 2 Trauma Center delivers comprehensive and specialized care for patients with traumatic injuries. The Stroke Center at NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is designated by the New York State Department of Health as a Primary Stroke Center, with expert neurologists available to provide treatment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Provides clinical leadership and management of designated care areas on a twenty-four-hour basis, consistent with the philosophy, goals, and mission of NYU Langone Health. Assumes responsibility and accountability for all facets of nursing practice and performance within said designated areas, and for meeting all pertinent organizational goals and targets. Leads large scale organizational change efforts. Develops, fosters, and sustains an environment of excellence in patient/family service, staff growth and development, quality nursing care, and staff engagement and satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State.
Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) in clinical nursing practice or research required
Pertinent clinical knowledge preferred
Certification in nursing leadership required
Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion to address patient/family satisfaction and quality indicators.
Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
Minimum 5 years Leadership or supervisory experience..
